Job Summary:

The Sales Representative will sell products and services offered by the company to current and new clientele.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.

· Quote and negotiate product prices on behalf of the Company to customers, using independent judgment and discretion based on knowledge of current market conditions and other factors

· Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.

· Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.

· Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.

· Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.

· Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.

· Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field OR

· At least three years of related experience required.

· Understanding or knowledge of lumber industry and the company products and services

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 15 pounds 5% or less of the workday

· Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday

· Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday

· Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.

· Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.

· Must be able to travel.
